Dr. Erin Van Veldhuizen

Erin Van Veldhuizen

Doctor of Chiropractic and Registered Nurse

Dr. Erin graduated Cum Laude from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA with a Bachelors of Arts in Biology and Health Professions. Dr. Erin graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center. She also holds a Bachelors of Science in Anatomy and a Bachelors of Science in Health and Wellness. Dr. Erin graduated Magna Cum Laude from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX with her Doctor of Chiropractic (DC). She was named Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities for three consecutive years. In 2014, Dr. Erin earned her Diplomate in functional neurology from the American Chiropractic Neurology Board (DACNB). The DACNB achievement means that Dr. Erin has over 300 hours in post-graduate functional neurology training and passed rigorous boards and practical exams. Additionally, she has a Doctorate of Clinical Nutrition (DCN) from the American Association of Integrative Medicine and a Diplomate from the Chiropractic Board of Clinical Nutrition (CBCN). She has additional certifications in Gluten Practitioner (CGP), Clinical Chiropractic Neurology (CCCN), and camera thermography technician from the International Association of Camera Thermologists (IACT).

Parker College of Chiropractic’s Alumni Association named Dr. Erin the Young Alumni of the Year in 2008. Dr. Erin has served as the treasurer for Parker College’s Alumni Association Board of Directors. She served as an adjunct faculty member for over five years at Brookhaven College teaching Anatomy & Physiology. Dr. Erin has also assisted teaching in technique labs at Parker University. She speaks for many organizations, health care professionals, and graduate students on topics of women’s health, disease prevention, nutrition and lifestyle, neurological conditions and prevention, supplementation and diet, physiological aspects of disease, and many more.

Dr. Erin has worked in healthcare for over half of her life. Her past titles have included: CNA (Certified Nurse’s Assistant), PCT (Patient Care Technician), Telemetry Technician, Honor’s Program Student director for an NIH-directed grant that was published in Parasite Neurobiology, Professor Assistant and Lab Assistant in undergraduate and graduate school, and Honor’s Program Chiropractic Intern. Dr. Erin has over 500 hours of training in functional medicine and over 500 hours of training in functional neurology.

Dr. Erin focuses on functional medicine, functional neurology and neurological rehab, camera thermography and women’s health, prenatal and pediatric care, cranial adjusting, soft tissue rehabilitation, and allergy elimination. Her practices emphasize whole-body wellness and corrective care. Dr. Erin is passionate about helping ALL patients receive safe and natural care for the whole body and whole family. She values communication and education in order to help patients understand their role in their health and the CAUSE of their symptoms or conditions.

Dr. Erin also founded Women’s Natural Health Center in order to serve women and offer female-centered health. Women’s Natural Health Center is dedicated to “Women Caring for Women”. In this facet of her practice she is offering one of the leading breast cancer risk assessment tools and knowledge for women. Dr. Erin is co-founder of Innovative Health and Wellness Group with Brandon Brock, DNP, NP-C, DC. In this practice, Dr. Erin and Dr. Brock emphasize finding the CAUSE of symptoms and conditions, in addition to offering medical services and advisement when needed.

Dr. Erin is a proud wife and mother of two handsome boys: Jonah and Luke.

Dr. Nisreen TayebjeeNisreen Tayebjee, DC

Dr. Nisreen Tayebjee graduated from Parker University in Dallas, TX. Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, she moved to Chicago, IL in 2001 to pursue a career in pharmacy. It was not until her life was directly transformed by chiropractic care did she decide to feed her passion in whole-body wellness. Specifically, Dr. Nisreen was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition. Since then, autoimmunity, women’s health and endocrine dysfunction have become areas of emphasis. In addition, Dr. Nisreen has found her passion within Chiropractic in functional neurology and nutrition. She has completed over 150 hours in postgraduate neurology diplomate studies. Furthermore, Dr. Nisreen has worked with physical rehabilitation of a wide range of conditions stemming from concussions, strokes, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, dystonia, headache and migraines while leading a team of healthcare professionals at a nationally recognized brain rehabilitation health center.

Dr. Nisreen completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago where she received her Bachelor’s in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. During her time at the University of Illinois at Chicago, she was one of two undergraduate students to receive a grant from the National Science Foundation to perform a reforestation study in Veracruz, Mexico. Upon returning from Mexico with samples, Nisreen continued her research as a primary investigator in DNA analysis, sequencing and cloning of mycorrhizal fungi at the Pritzker DNA laboratory at the Field Museum in Chicago. With her research background she recognizes the importance of implementing evidence based care in her mission to help people discover their full potential through optimal health via chiropractic care and loving service. Nisreen is devoted to serving and helping others live a more fulfilling life and firmly believes in doing so by leading by example. She has adopted a healthy and balanced lifestyle and perseveres to continue improving and growing while helping others do the same.

Dr. Nisreen has served on a chiropractic mission trips to places such as El Salvador. This experience broadened her awareness and cultural background and understands first hand the need for chiropractic care outside of the United States. It is this experience, along with her various travels that has fueled her passion in working with underserved populations and spreading the chiropractic word across the globe. Furthermore, Dr. Nisreen loves immersing herself in different cultures, while developing her language skills. At the present moment, she is refining her Spanish and already fluently speaks, Gujrati, Hindi, Urdu and Swahili.

Lastly, Dr. Nisreen is certified in various chiropractic techniques, applied kinesiology, taping, strength and conditioning, and active and passive rehabilitation therapies. Dr. Nisreen proudly serves the Dallas and surrounding communities and is available to speak at engagements.

Dr. Paige PhelanPaige Phelan, DC

Dr. Paige Phelan graduated from Parker University in Dallas, TX in 2019 where she earned a double Bachelor’s in Anatomy and Physiology as well as in Health and Wellness. Born in Houston, TX and a 25-year Murphy, TX native Dr. Paige is a born-and-raised Texan. A long-time sufferer of allergies and anaphylactic reactions, Dr. Paige turned to holistic and alternative medicine. Additionally, her mother suffered from benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) that started her on her journey to find treatments for this debilitating condition. While at Parker, Dr. Paige held the presidency of both the Neurology Club and Nutrition Club on campus with a passion for interdisciplinary care and searching for the root cause of neuromusculoskeletal dysfunction. Dr. Paige has completed over 300 hours of post-graduate functional neurology and functional nutrition courses with a passion for traumatic brain injury, neuroendocrine modulation, discopathies, radiculopathies, and childhood developmental disorders. Committed to a lifetime of learning, Dr. Paige would spend her spare time shadowing at other cross-disciplinary centers in the metroplex and at other functional medicine, functional nutrition, and functional neurology practices across the US. Dr. Paige strives to be the embodiment of the adage said by Parker University’s founder: “Loving Service is My First Technique.”

Dr. Paige’s preferred method of adjusting is Flexion-Distraction technique, and she is additionally skilled in manual myofascial release, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, kinetic and functional taping, active and passive rehabilitative services, and the Blye cranial technique. She is proud to serve the DFW metroplex where she now resides.

Kendra HollemanKendra Holleman

Kendra graduated from Temple High School and earned a basketball scholarship to McClennan Community College in 1988. She then attended The Bryman College in Phoenix, AZ for Medical Assistant in 1991 and obtained a diploma. Kendra worked for Scott and White Hospital in Temple, TX for 5 years as an EKG technician. While there, she performed EKG’s, stress tests, thalluium stress tests, and assisted in stress Echo’s. Kendra moved to Dallas in 1995 and worked as an EKG technician for Medical City of Dallas for one year.

She then started working at Mattel Toys a toy distribution center for 14 years. Kendra worked as clamp truck driver for 9 years, and then was promoted to a lead person for 5 years. During that time she participated in Lean Six Sigma and was part of the safety committee. After years of service in a warehouse, she returned to school. Kendra attended Anthem College in Irving, Texas for 2 years. There, she received her Associates of Applied Science. Kendra is a member of American Medical Technology as a Registered Medical Assistant.

Cindy began her career as a medical assistant in 2007. She was introduced to the world of functional medicine and fell in love with the children she worked with under Dr. Rao. Cindy has primarily worked in offices where providers practice a more holistic/integrative approach to medicine. She has a passion for helping people become the healthiest they can be through nutrition and education.

As a recent lab coordinator and back office manager, Cindy was able to expand her knowledge in multiple functional laboratories that offer a more in depth form of testing through blood, saliva, stool, and other forms of specimens that look into a patient’s specific allergies, food sensitivities, nutritional imbalances within their body, metal toxicity and much more. Her enthusiasm for learning has broadened her understanding and made her a valuable asset, along with her warm bedside manner, kind and respectful approach and excellence in drawing labs.

Cindy lives in Addison with her daughter and partner and two puppies. She enjoys crafting, building furniture out of wood, and rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers!
