Big Berkey Gravity-Fed Stainless Steel Countertop Water Filter Syst...

The Big Berkey is one of the most popular and versatile countertop water filtration systems, delivering clean, great-tasting water for everyday use at home or in the office. With a 2.25-gallon capacity, it provides a reliable supply of purified water for drinking, cooking, and preparing your favorite beverages—all without electricity, plumbing, or complicated installation.

This system includes two authentic Black Berkey® Elements (the original BB9-2), engineered using a proprietary blend of multiple filtration media. Backed by extensive independent, third-party testing, these elements remove or significantly reduce more than 250 contaminants that may be present in freshwater sources. Their advanced design targets a wider range of contaminants than filters made solely of activated carbon, offering superior performance and long-term protection.

Berkey strongly cautions against lookalike filters marketed as “compatible” BB9-2 replacements. Authentic Black Berkey Elements are specifically designed to work synergistically inside Berkey systems, ensuring optimal contaminant reduction and consistent, trusted results.

Economical and long-lasting, each pair of Black Berkey Elements filters up to 6,000 gallons before replacement is recommended. If additional capacity or redundancy is desired, the Big Berkey can be expanded with additional pairs of elements (sold separately), with each extra pair adding another 6,000 gallons of filtration life.

Considered the gold standard in gravity-fed water purification, Berkey systems offer outstanding contaminant reduction and lifespan compared to other countertop filters. They require no electricity or tools, making them simple to use, cost-effective, and ideal for households seeking high-quality water for just pennies per gallon.
